Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
Michael Bay released his first feature-length film, Bad Boys, in 1994, bringing Martin Lawrence and Will Smith together for buddy-cop comedic gold. The trio returned again in 2003 for the unfavorable but hilarious Bad Boys II. Twenty-five years later, we find the pair back together again for the third installment… and it feels like they never left.
When I get asked about my top Disney movies of all time (possibly coming in a future post), the Middle Eastern folk tale always lands in my top three. Ever since my childhood, the animated classic has ALWAYS landed in my top 3. Considering Disney’s success of live-action remakes, I wasn’t overly concerned, even with the hate on Will Smith’s Genie.

Aladdin is one of the Disney’s best animated classics. Released in 1992, it was one of the leaders during the Disney film era known as the Disney Renaissance. Following the story of Aladdin, an Arabian street urchin, he comes across a magic lamp that contains a genie, voiced by the late, great Robin Williams. After that, he embarks on an adventure to not only save the princess but also the entire kingdom of Agrabah.
Now that a new special look trailer dropped last night during the Grammys, I’m still excited to see the live-action adaptation, but now with more caution thanks to a mega-star in blue.
