DC Fandome set the standard for virtual pop culture events

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, events such as pop culture conventions and film festivals were cancelled. Disappointed fans had to wait for film, tv, and pop culture news for the upcoming fall season and new year. Events such as San Diego Comic-Con found homes online and other companies used this avenue to interact with their fans. ‘Shazam!’ is the word the DC Film franchise has needed

Despite his similarities to DC’s boy scout mascot, Shazam! is not one of the most well-known superheros from the world of DC Comics. The only thing I know about Shazam was the mega-watt, All-American smile and the yellow lightning on his red suit with a white cape flying in the background. I didn’t even realize that he had a cheesy ’70s show, when superheroes were considered kids’ stuff and not the bankable franchise it is now.

‘Aquaman’ makes a splash in bright and entertaining seas.

Aquaman has never been the strongest or well-received superhero in DC comics. I mean, come on; a guy who can swim and talk to sea animals? He has always been seen as a second-tier superhero in comparison to the likes of the DC Trinity. With an entertaining but ludicrous story and good old fashioned fun, Aquaman has the DC Extended Universe continuing on the right course it started with Wonder Woman.
