Book your room at the ‘Hotel Artemis’

Have you ever thought about being a hero? A criminal? The love and adoration, the notoriety and disdain of the general public (depending on which side you choose and everyone’s individual opinions) is hard to pass up. Plus you might get to wear a cool outfit; at least buy an expensive suit.

One question though: In that line of work, how good is the medical insurance? Where can you go to get treatment for your many wounds?

This summer, Hotel Artemis provides the service.

In the near future, Jean Thomas (Jodie Foster) is known as The Nurse, who runs a secret, members-only hospital for criminals called Hotel Artemis. Sterling K. Brown (NBC’s This is Us, Black Panther) plays Waikiki, who comes to the hotel to get treatment for himself and his brother. But he’s not the only guest at this hotel.

The film features an impressive line up that includes Jeff Goldblum (Thor: Ragnarok, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Sofia Boutella (The Mummy), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Jenny Slate (Saturday Night Live), Dave Batista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Brian Tyree Henry (FX’s Atlanta).

This is Jodie Foster’s first film in five years, her last being 2013’s Elysium. But she couldn’t be ask for a better cast to be surrounded by. The originality of this film is what’s capturing me and pulling my interest so I’m hoping it’ll pay off as we keep going into the summer movie schedule.

Hotel Artemis opens June 8.
